Canadian Centre for Child Protection
For this User Experience assignment, students needed to choose one of the seventeen
estabilshed
Global Goals and create an e-newsletter, social media carousel, and other associated assets
for
an initative relevant to that goal.
For The Canadian Centre for Child Protection, I chose a pallete with dark navy and a warm mustard,
leaving a
striking impression of light in the darkness. Close-cut images of happy families spark
a positive association for the viewer, and even feel somewhat fun, lightening the mood without
detracting from the serious content. The tone is hopeful: each expression moves from an initial plea for
help, through content detailing the progress C3P has made so far, reinforcing the audience's confidence
in C3P and their own motivation to contribute. Users are empowered to believe that there's hope, rather
than just being filled with dread or moral outrage. The content then moves through finer points of
donating, and then to contact information and relevant links.
